Dalhousie University 's Diploma in Meteorology programme will allow you to explore your interests in weather and atmospheric phenomena in depth.  

Dalhousie University's Diploma in Meteorology programme is the only course of its kind in Atlantic Canada. Gain a strong background in atmospheric science—training you for a career as a forecaster or preparing you for studies at the graduate level.

Programme options

You can choose to take the one-year Diploma in Meteorology (DMet) after completing a three-year Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry, or another quantitative subject area in the Faculty of Science. Or take the DMet as part of a four-year BSc with a Major in Physics.

If you're a Physics and Meteorology student, you have the option of taking part in the co-op education programme.
