In Dalhousie University 's Bachelor of Engineering in Environmental Engineering programme you'll learn various approaches to environment-based design, waste management, water and soil quality, energy conservation and renewables, and air quality.

Programme options

Undergraduate students have the option of following a co-op programme (five years) or a non-co-op programme (four years).

What you will learn

In the first two years of their degree, all engineering students complete the core engineering programme. You can take this programme either on the Sexton Campus in Halifax or the Agricultural Campus in Truro. You will study math, science, engineering science and design, developing a broad foundation in engineering.

The range of career options you’ll find in engineering is impressive. Challenging environmental engineering career positions are found in national and international petroleum companies and power utilities, manufacturers of environmental and energy efficient products, environmental consulting companies, provincial and national government departments such as Natural Resources, Environment, Forestry, and Agriculture to name a few.
