You won’t just read texts, you’ll interrogate them, debate them, and reimagine them. Along the way, you’ll sharpen your thinking, refine your writing skills, and develop the confidence to express your own ideas with clarity and impact.

Guided by expert tutors who are active researchers and writers, you’ll build your own distinctive voice, whether analytical, creative, or both.

As part of this English Literature (Hons) programme from Leeds Beckett University , you’ll:

• Study poems, plays and prose narratives in their historical and cultural contexts

• Discuss and debate the different ways texts can be interpreted

• Embrace a wide range of theoretical approaches

• Cover a diverse range of texts, from the literatures of Romanticism through to the contemporary, and British and American Literature of the twentieth century to the postcolonial literatures of the Caribbean, India, Pakistan, South Africa, and Australia

• Work directly with leading literary researchers to develop your own creative and critical voice
