With a practical, real-world, multi and inter-disciplinary emphasis on the latest developments in sport, exercise and health nutrition, this Sport, Exercise and Nutrition (Hons) - i2i International Soccer Academy at Northumbria University will teach you about the interplay between psychology, physiology and nutrition. Together, this will allow you to support individuals to perform at their best whether their goal is to excel in sports or they aim to exercise for health benefits.

Student-athletes have access to a sports laboratory and testing equipment in our specialist sport and teaching facility and a bespoke nutrition kitchen, combining practical hands-on training with the latest contemporary research in the field of sport and exercise nutrition to set you up for a career in this area.

The scientific content of the curriculum is aligned with the scientific knowledge requirements and competencies detailed in the Sport and Exercise Nutrition Register (SENr) and during your studies, you will be encouraged to critically evaluate existing theory and practice as well as carry out independent research.
