Overview

In this Nursing degree at Sheridan College you’ll first learn entry-to-practice competencies required of both RPNs and RNs, then build on that knowledge to master advanced competencies RNs need to care for unstable and complex patients.

This is the first nursing degree program in Ontario to include two consolidation preceptored placements, sharpening your skills after your fourth and eighth semesters. The nursing labs also use high-fidelity mannequins and UbiSim virtual simulation software to ensure you enter the workforce ready to care for patients.

Career Opportunities

As a graduate of Sheridan’s Honours Bachelor of Science – Nursing degree, you’ll be eligible to write the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO) NCLEX licensing exam and work as a Registered Nurse in settings such as hospitals, long-term care, public health and the community.

Ontario Secondary School Diploma or equivalent, including these required courses:

English, Grade 12 (ENG4U)
Biology, Grade 12 (U) (SBI4U or equivalent)
