Overview
This degree will give you the opportunity to design, test, and improve solutions within electronic and electrical engineering. Your work will address some of the biggest problems facing society today. Your creativity and technical skills will enable you to join a new generation of engineers.
As part of this Electronic and Electrical Engineering (Hons) course from Leeds Beckett University , you’ll:
- Understand how to design and build sustainable solutions using a wide range of electronic, embedded and control systems
- Work with engineers across a broad discipline, from electronics and electrical engineering, civil and building services engineering to computing, robotics, AI and data analysis
- Complete a significant project each year, where you can learn how to design, test and improve the answers to real problems
- Have the opportunity to complete a year in industry to build your practical workplace experience
Career
You’ll have the expertise to create, maintain and develop smart systems based on modern embedded, electrical, and electronic systems. Some of the graduates have put these skills into direct use working across the following sectors:
- Energy
- Rail
- Communications
- Food engineering
You could also consider engineering roles in control systems, embedded systems and hardware to design, build, test and maintain new products and solutions. Other graduates have chosen to build on their engineering skills as part of an integrated team in manufacturing support, sales and sales support, or logistics. Many of these roles are global in scope, working for large organisations with complex supply chains, and offering routes into management and other engineering-related roles.
