Overview

Students take things apart, figure out how they work and how to fix or improve them, then put them back together again. You’ll get to use 3D printers and other advanced tools in DCU’s state-of-the-art labs, while also absorbing engineering theory. It is at heart a maths-based course, but you’ll also gain extensive skills and knowledge in engineering mechanics, computer simulation and analysis, design and manufacture, and project management.

In third year of the Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering program at Dublin City University , you’ll do an eight-month work placement in industry and you also have the opportunity to study abroad. And you can extend your undergraduate BEng programme by a year to complete a masters degree.
