Overview
The Quantity Surveying (Honours) programme from South East Technological University also provides students with 30 weeks paid work placement in top tier local and internationally based Contracting and Professional Quantity Surveying firms in year three of the programme and is fully accredited by the Society of Chartered Surveyors Ireland (SCSI) allowing our graduates to progress and become Chartered Quantity Surveyors on completion of this programme.
Career opportunities:
There has been a demand for qualified Quantity Surveyors and this demand continues to exist with both Professional Quantity Surveying/Cost Consultant practices and with Construction companies both in Ireland and overseas.
The graduates can expect a career as a highly valued and integral member of the Design Team on construction projects of all sectors and values both nationally and internationally.
They help to shape and inform the budgets of clients the world over on projects ranging from circa €200K to over €1bn. They key values of the BSc (Honours) in Quantity Surveying are of cost management, contractual knowledge, negotiation skills and ability to communicate, all of which are an integral part of the course we offer here at WIT.
