Our Laboratory Science program Metropolia University of Applied Sciences focuses on equipping you with the knowledge and skills essential for chemical and biological laboratory research. With approximately half of your contact teaching conducted in state-of-the-art laboratories, you'll gain invaluable hands-on experience.

Content of the Study Programme

Our curriculum seamlessly integrates theory and practical exercises in the laboratory. You'll delve into diverse fields such as

food safety
water and air quality
forensics
quality assurance
pathogenic microbe detection
instrumental analysis.

Moreover, you'll have the flexibility to choose 15 elective credits in subjects like sustainability, programming, leadership, procurement, or language studies. While our program doesn't cover clinical patient sampling, you'll still acquire skills necessary for biomedical sample analysis.
