Overview

The Pharmacy Technician course from Conestoga College includes the basic biological sciences, pharmacology, pharmaceutical calculations, compounding and sterile preparations. Through a combination of theory, practical laboratories and work experience placements, graduates are prepared to practice to the full scope of a Registered Pharmacy Technician as they receive, order and manage inventory, prepare, compound and dispense medications, and assist with the provision of pharmaceutical care and pharmacy services.

As per Canadian Council for Accreditation of Pharmacy Programmes (CCAPP) requirements, students must successfully complete the Pharmacy Technician Programme within 4 years of admission.
