The Marketing Management (Honours) programme at the University of Westminster is a general undergraduate degree in marketing, for those who see their future career in marketing, but do not, at this stage, wish to specialise any further.

Overview

The Marketing Management (Honours) programme at the University of Westminster has a shared first year which allows you to experience all the main areas in marketing before you finalise your degree to match your career choice. We provide relevant exemptions from the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM) and the Institute of Direct and Digital Marketing (IDM).

Marketing managers are responsible for deciding what products to sell, to whom, for what price, where, when and how. They have to set and achieve the sales targets, and ensure the profits and repeat business. As such, marketing management is considered by many to be one of the most stimulating and satisfying careers, and this course will enable you to develop the knowledge and skills needed to pursue such a career.

In addition to subject knowledge, throughout the course you will develop the transferable skills which are required for a career in marketing. Perhaps more than in any other area of business you will need to be able to work effectively in teams, solve problems, develop critical and creative thinking, and present your ideas persuasively.

Placements 

If you are studying a Bachelor's degree at Westminster Business School, you can choose to take a year's break from your studies in your third year to do a placement.  

A placement year is a great way of gaining practical work experience within an industry relevant to your studies. It increases your confidence and skills, and boosts your employability. It gives you a chance to apply the theoretical techniques you have learnt during your undergraduate degree so far to a real business environment while you work as a member of an established organisation.
