Overview

At Accounting and Finance (Hons) from Edge Hill University you’ll explore the fundamentals of accounting and finance and how people with skills in these fields help businesses succeed.

Quick Facts:

You’ll learn how markets move and companies grow. You’ll also develop an advanced understanding of how financial markets and banking affect business behaviour locally and globally.
You’ll have the opportunity to undertake a work placement with a real business. This will allow you to gain vital experience of analysing the diverse issues facing the organisations of today and grow your professional networks.
When you graduate you’ll be eligible for Affiliate Member status with the Chartered Management Institute.
As well as preparing for and attending lectures, seminars, tutorials and workshops, you will spend time reading and completing coursework, including written assignments, presentations and project work.
You will have the opportunity to develop your employability profile through a work placement. In addition, you will undertake live financial market analysis in our Bloomberg Suite.

Typical offer 104-112 UCAS Tariff points, for which no specific subjects are required, plus GCSE Mathematics at Grade C or Grade 4 or above, or equivalent.
A Level BCC-BBC.
BTEC Extended Diploma (or combination of BTEC QCF qualifications) Distinction, Merit, Merit (DMM).
T Level Overall grade of Merit.
International Baccalaureate (IB) We are happy to accept IB qualifications which achieve the required number of UCAS Tariff points.
Access to Higher Education Diploma 45 credits at Level 3, for example 9 credits at Distinction and 36 credits at Merit or 15 credits at Distinction and 30 credits at Merit. The required total can be attained from various credit combinations.
