Overview

On the Health Information Management programme from Douglas College you’ll take practical health information management courses that cover topics in health information science, business leadership, project management and information technology.

Get practical experience

During the programme, you’ll put your skills to work in four practicums. You'll learn how to code, collecting and assigning codes to patient diagnoses and procedures. You'll also complete a six-week project where you are placed in various departments within the health-care sector.

Applicants must have attained an undergraduate degree from a recognized post-secondary institution in Canada, or an equivalent credential from an approved institution in a different country.
