Overview
If you successfully complete the UFP to the required level of attainment in all academic areas and achieve the required English language score, you will have the opportunity to automatically progress onto a place on a suitable programme of undergraduate study at the University of Reading. The UFP is set at NQF level 3, which is equivalent to A level standard in the UK.
How long will I study Archaeology with Study Year Abroad - Undergraduate Foundation Programme from OnCampus Reading for?
Most of our programmes last one academic year (nine months). The year is divided into three terms of seven to eight teaching weeks and one examination week. On average, you will undertake 21 (and up to 25) hours of classroom-based study per week.
What will I study?
There are five academic pathways to choose from and you will study the pathway most suited to your chosen progression degree. Academic skills relevant to the specific subject area will be taught to fully prepare you for university study. The pathways are:Business, Engineering and Physical Sciences, Humanities & Social Sciences, Life Sciences and Art & Design.

- From 5.0 IELTS or equivalent (with no single element less than 4.5)
- Minimum age: 17+
- To progress to this degree, you will need to achieve AAB in academic subjects and achieve 65% in OCTOE (internal English assessment). Students will need GCSE Mathematics (or Physics/IT) at grade B/6 (or equivalent) or Mathematics must be taken in the foundation.
