Coming up with communication strategies
Students learn how to align communications with organizational goals and achieve measurable results. A strategic approach is critical to achieving the goals of communication efforts
- Target group analysis: learn to understand the needs of target groups and tailor the message to them
- Learning to position the organization and communicate a consistent message
- Communication Planning:
- Realistic scheduling and prioritization to complete projects within tight deadlines.
- Allocating resources such as budget, staff and technology
Digital communication content creation
- Tools for creating digital communication content. Students will be able to produce attractive and effective content, taking into account visual and textual aspects
- Adobe package: Photoshop, premiere, InDesign,...
- Alternative software: Canva
- Applied AI tools
- Copywriting and storytelling: The ability of stories to stick, combined with the persuasive power of copywriting, forge a powerful connection between brands and consumers. Communication not just in information transfer, but in to engage, touch and inspire audiences.
Mastering foreign languages
- Subjects in English: improved language proficiency for students to communicate more effectively at the international level. This is invaluable in a world where cross-border cooperation and communication are essential
- Choose one extra foreign language to immerse themselves in in order to better understand not only the language but also its culture.

Year 1 + 2: In the first and second year, students receive a very strong foundation in communication. Here we cover strategies in general, marketing communication, followed by marketing strategy. In addition, they also receive a lot of content creation training (e.g., Photoshop and Premiere).
Of course, copywriting is another important aspect in the first and second years. Here, we also bring English to an even higher level. Additionally, there are subjects such as AI and content creation for social media.
Year 3: Specialise in courses of your interest or study at one of our partner institutions abroad and do an internship in an international company in Belgium of abroad:
- Expert tracks (15SP): in-depth in a specific area of Visual Branding
- Cross Cultural Communication: developing communication solutions for real diversity issues, creating inclusive campaigns and content a.o. Employer branding, internal communication, ... but also diversity and inclusion in terms of leadership, collaboration, ...
- Consumer oriented Communication: any form of activity or communication that directly targets consumers with the aim of persuading people to buy a product/service but also to change behavior or attitudes within a particular target group.

Broadening in a theme relevant to the profile

Students choose one:
- Future thinking: Combination of human-centred design, philosophy and social critique. The approach is that design and communication professionals can contribute to a society-wide mindshift to break the status quo that keeps many crises muddling along. climate, migration, overconsumption, inequality, ...
- Internship Abroad XL: Internship with integrated project, preferably abroad, in a company with an international context
After graduation
What can you become:
- Cross-Cultural Communication Specialist: You could work as a cross-cultural communication specialist, helping organizations understand and communicate effectively with different cultures, both internally and externally.
- Global Brand Communication Manager: In this role, you will be responsible for developing global brand communication campaigns that are aligned with different cultural expectations and perceptions.
- International Public Relations Strategist: As a strategist in international public relations, you work to develop PR strategies that promote an organization's reputation in different cultures around the world.
- Cultural Branding Consultant: You can serve as a cultural branding consultant, advising organizations on how to align their brand identity with diverse cultures to appeal to a wider audience.
- International Consumer Engagement Specialist: You could specialize in consumer engagement on an international scale, developing strategies to reach and engage different audiences in meaningful ways.
- Global Consumer Insights Analyst: In this role, you will analyse consumer behaviour on a global scale, interpret cultural differences and translate insights into communication strategies that effectively reach target audiences

All courses of this programme contribute to four essential employment skills:
- Insight and strategy: you keep track of current trends in the broad field of communications while also figuring out how to turn organisational goals into a well-designed communication plan.
- Concept and creation: you create various communication products tailored to your target audience across multiple platforms, from text to video.
- Project design and planning: you develop effective communication strategies. As a project manager, you are in charge of the big picture, so you can coordinate your colleagues, instruct freelancers and ensure you achieve your goals.
- Research and analysis: you formulate research questions, interview people, organise focus groups, measure and analyse and report on, for instance, the brand's image or the characteristics of how your target audience uses media.
