Key facts

The Social Justice program is in the Department of Sociology and Anthropology within the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences at Simon Fraser University.
This certificate program develops competence in identifying and examining the causes and consequences of social inequalities, and the differential perception and treatment of groups and individuals on the basis of a variety of factors including, but not limited to gender, sexual orientation, class, race, ethnicity, and religion. Students must apply for the certificate no later than two terms prior to graduation.

All applicants must meet the university's English Language Requirements

All applicants must meet the university's Quantitative and Analytical Skills requirements

All students must present a minimum grade of C-/60% in a junior or senior level acceptable Math course

Graduation from a university-preparatory program at a senior high school

Submit a transcript which includes grades for all courses completed and final grades for the first semester of Senior Year. (An admission average is calculated on final year results.)
