Gebze Technological University's Chemistry department is committed to scientific, ethical and social values with its young and dynamic academic staff and laboratories with modern equipment; To continue its existence as a department that provides quality education and training for the benefit of society, industry and the region, conducts scientific research and produces applied solutions to the problems of society and industry.
Overview
There are 18 Professors, 4 Associate Professors, 5 Drs in our department . There are faculty members, 24 research assistants, 8 lecturers, 2 technicians and 1 civil servant. Main areas of work; chemistry of phosphazenes, chemical sensors, macrocyclic compounds, phthalocyanines, boron-based compounds, nanomaterials, enzyme immobilization, biotechnology, computational chemistry, computer-aided molecular design, adsorption, ion exchange, surface chemistry, electrochemistry, photochemistry, organic/inorganic (opto)electronic materials , conductive polymers, functional polymers, monomer and macromonomer synthesis, synthetic organic chemistry, pharmaceutical active ingredients and agrochemicals.
