Gebze Technological University Department of Chemical Engineering offers undergraduate and graduate (Master's and Doctorate level) education and research opportunities to students with the course options and research laboratories it has prepared in line with these developments.

The Department of Chemical Engineering has achieved serious international success with its research in the fields of Process and Reactor Design, Chemical Technologies, Thermodynamics and Basic Operations and its publications in journals recognized by international citation indexes (SCI).

The Chemical Engineering Department undergraduate education program started in 2017. Although Master's and Doctoral theses are in the field of experimental or theoretical modeling, industry-oriented thesis studies are also encouraged. For this purpose, students who work in the private sector and earn a master's or doctorate degree can also do their thesis on solving a problem in the companies they work for.
