Founded in 1994, Gebze Technological University Environmental Engineering Department continues its education and research activities in Çayırova Campus .

Overview

In this higher specialized institution, where only master's and doctoral education is provided, comprehensive and advanced research activities on environmental pollution and control are carried out and creative solutions are developed to the problems faced by our country's industry.

There are 7 research and 3 accredited analysis laboratories in our modern department building with a total closed area of 6000 m2. Laboratories have TÜRKAK accreditation for most of the analyses.

Research laboratories are equipped within the framework of the research carried out and contain laboratory and pilot scale systems and modern measurement devices where various analyzes are carried out.
In our accredited analysis laboratories, water, wastewater, sea water, sludge, ash, soil and outdoor and indoor air samples are analyzed.

In the department, which has an Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) qualification certificate, EIA and Preliminary EIA reports can be prepared, and consultancy services are provided on wastewater treatability studies, treatment plant projects, treatment plant operation, environmental management, environmental inventory and ISO 14001.
