The department of Computer Engineering from Gebze Technological University has a young and dynamic academic staff, wide and modern physical facilities with various research, project and student laboratories.

Overview

The department aims, first of all, to train creative and productive computer engineers who have the potential to shape the information network of the current age and are well-equipped in basic computer and informatics subjects. Another important goal of the department is to make global scientific publications in the field of computer engineering and to direct academic developments in this field, by using the rapidly developing research and teaching infrastructure, in cooperation with industry and government institutions.

Our department is closely interested in almost every subject of Computer Science in order to achieve the goals, which can be briefly summarized in two items: "Providing qualified graduates" and "Having a say in the world of science".Another goal of our undergraduate education is to train entrepreneurial qualified computer engineers. For this purpose, the course curriculum includes social courses such as entrepreneurship, business management, management organization, labor law, economics and business ethics. With these foundations, computer engineers who graduate from the department have the infrastructure to start their own businesses instead of looking for a job. Our goal in education is "To raise computer engineers who are not only job seekers but also able to start a business" .
