Overview
This Social Justice and Peace Studies (SJPS) program critically examines the root causes of social injustice and violence in society, in our community and in the world. And it innovatively explores alternatives to injustice and violence by focusing on how to build peace and justice.
It does this through rigorous academic training, combined with community-based learning and numerous optional experiential learning opportunities in the global community.
SJPS is the hub at Western University - Canada for engaged, social innovation and active learning in the creation of a more just and peaceful community and world.

General requirements
- High school pre-requisites for the faculty/program to which they are applying,
- English language requirements if applicable,
- The strength of mandatory supplemental information (profile, audition, portfolio, personal statement etc.),
- Completion of the entire Diploma including the Theory of Knowledge and Extended Essay
- Passes in a minimum of 6 subjects of which 3 must be at the Higher Level
- A minimum grade total of 28 including points awarded for the Extended Essay and Theory of Knowledge
- No mark less than 4 on any individual course
- Prerequisites for your program as specified by Western
