Overview
The Nursing Major is offered by Acadia University. This initiative will help address challenges faced by rural communities across the province.
Key Facts
This new program will initially operate as a satellite location of CBU — providing education on our Wolfville campus while being powered by the expertise and accreditation of their leading program. Our ultimate goal is to achieve Nova Scotia College of Registered Nurses approval and transition to offer a standalone Acadia University Bachelor of Science in Nursing. Approximately 50 percent of the nursing seats will be designated for Mi’kmaq, Indigenous, and African Nova Scotian students.

General requirements
- All applicants must provide official transcripts for all high school and post secondary course work.
- To be considered official, all transcripts should be certified by the school and should either be sent to Acadia directly from the school or sealed in an envelope and given to the student to send. Certified transcripts acceptable to Acadia will be used as a basis of admission.
- Admission requirements differ depending on the student's educational system. We review all applications from international students individually.
- Applicants for admission from another university or college must have an official transcript sent directly from that institution for evaluation.
- Transfer credits may be given for individual courses that are applicable to the intended undergraduate degree program of study. Course descriptions must be included with the transcripts.
