Programme Overview

The curriculum provides a comprehensive foundation in philosophy of culture, anthropology, and social thought, allowing students to explore different cultural traditions and perspectives. The Culture, Thought and Humanity programme from University of Wroclaw emphasise critical thinking, interdisciplinary analysis, and intercultural communication, combining insights from cultural anthropology, psychology, and sociology. Students will participate in intercultural projects, debates, and real-world applications of philosophical concepts, gaining hands-on experience in navigating cultural complexities. With opportunities to work in an international academic environment, including collaborations with faculty and visiting professors, students develop essential leadership and communication skills. Graduates are well-prepared for careers in cultural institutions, NGOs, media, education, research organisations, and humanitarian aid. By our programme we want to facilitate intercultural dialogue and thinking for a sustainable future.

The programme explores philosophy’s ability to diagnose, reflect on and respond to contemporary crises and challenges.
We seek to inspire reflection on humanity’s place in the broader planetary framework.
The programme will prepare students for a career in NGOs, organisations dedicated to intercultural dialogue and humanitarian aid, media, cultural institutions at various levels.
The studies, offered at a BA and MA level, will create a networking environment, enabling you to develop skills for the future.
We will encourage you to explore philosophy as a method of relating to and communicating with others.

General requirements

To apply for a degree programme at the University of Wroclaw, you will need to submit a set of required legalised documents as part of the admission process.

Legalised High School graduation certificate or equivalent with the decision about nostrification
Legalised High School transcript of grades
NAWA Recognition of High School Certificate for Candidate with documents other tan issued in EU/EFTA/OECD, IB or EB diplomas and recognised by international agreement. It is compulsory document to obtain a visa
Entrance Written Exam in the form of an essay inspired by one of the following classical philosophical works or any other of similar character.

Certificate confirming English Language knowledge on B2 level

Between 2026 and 2028, we will accept two different scoring scales for the TOEFL iBT:

Certificates issued before 21.01.2026 - Minimum score: 72+ [scale: 0-120]
Certificates issued after 21.01.2026 - Minimum score: 4 [scale: 1-6]
