Year 1 – Work on your basic programming skills, learn the principles of setting up and maintaining a network, and take the first steps towards programming a software application.
Year 2 – Learn to program efficiently and effectively, master algorithms and data structures, and improve your programming skills in various languages. You will be working on assignments from external clients.
Year 3 – Do a five-month internship, in the Netherlands or abroad. Follow-up your internship with modules such as Design Patterns, IT architecture, IT change management and Threading in C#.
Year 4 - Spend the first half year specialising with a minor subject and then finish your studies with a graduation project in a professional environment.

General requirements
Academic
To be admitted to a 4-year bachelor programme, you will need to meet the admission requirements as outlined in Dutch Higher Education law. You need a diploma that is at least equivalent to an NLQF 4/EQF 4 level (Dutch/European Qualifications Framework) and comparable to the required Dutch diploma.
Language
All non-EU/EEA applicants are required to submit an English proficiency test with their application to show that their English language skills are at a high enough level to succeed in their studies.
NHL Stenden University of Applied Sciences accepts the following official language tests:
