Program Details

The Midwifery Shortened program is offered by University of Suffolk. The course is divided into theoretical (50%) and practice components (50%). The practice learning and assessments takes place in a range of clinical placements.

Successful students can gain registration as a midwife on the Nursing and Midwifery Professional Register. We are committed to embedding the NHS Constitution's Values into everything we do: they define the behaviours and expectations of all our staff and students, underpinning the work we do in the theoretical and in the practice settings. Career opportunities:

This qualification provides opportunities for employment as a midwife in community and hospital settings within the NHS and in private or independent practice. Future careers in clinical practice, research, management and education are all possible options. Students are also able to work across the European Union, plus other countries where this qualification is recognised.
