Overview

This program Bachelor of Science in Anesthesia Technology at Gulf Medical University has been developed to enable the graduates to integrate a broad generic base of knowledge, skills, and behaviors common to all health professions while developing technical skills specific to their healthcare major.

Program Learning Outcome

Obtain the core knowledge, skills, and procedures according to the national and international standards of practice and apply it appropriately to the Patient care.
Integrate knowledge related to anesthesia procedures and perioperative practices in patient care management.
Handle efficient the specialized instruments, supplies and equipment guided by the principles of asepsis to provide optimal patient care in and outside the operating room.

General requirements

The Applicant must have completed a minimum of 12 years of education in school.
The applicant must have proficiency in spoken and written English.
All conditional basis admissions are required to fulfill all admission requirements including Arabic proficiency and Equivalency certification. Failing which, the admission shall be on hold or not progressed further from first semester.
The applicant will be required to appear for an admission test and Multiple Mini Interview (MMI) test followed by a personal interview before the GMU Admission Committee.
The Admissions Committee evaluates all applicants for both cognitive and non-cognitive traits demonstrating their aptitude for the chosen area of study. The decision of the Admission Committee shall be final and binding.
