Overview
This Nursing - Adult (Hons) course from University of Gloucestershire offers a unique pathway that focuses on a different aspect of nursing each year.
Key Facts:
- Nursing is an exciting and rewarding profession which requires you to take care of yourself to enable you to care for others – we’ll support you to consider and maintain your own personal wellbeing and resilience within a ‘culture of care’ for both you, and people in your care.
- We’ll help you develop the skills and adaptability you need to deliver high quality patient care in a range of settings, while also promoting the NHS values and vision – ensuring everyone has greater control of their health and wellbeing. Students are required to work a range of shifts during the programme (early, late and night shifts covering the full 24 hour period of care). Shifts are allocated by the placement ward department with as much notice as possible.
You’ll work in supportive teams with practice and academic experts, mentors and personal tutors. Your course is 50% theory and 50% practice and commences with a six-week introductory block with regular placements in professional healthcare settings, allowing you to work with patients, their carers and care providers. The Nursing - Adult (Hons) programme is offered by University of Gloucestershire.
