Overview

Graduates of the Cybersecurity degree course from The Technical University of Kosice (TUKE) enables them to cope with the increasing demands of scientific, technical and economic development in the new century, and their skills significantly exceed general IT literacy. The core of the acquired knowledge of the graduate is oriented towards the field of data, system and software security, as well as social and legal aspects of cyber security.

Learning outcomes

Graduate:

understands informatics as a scientific discipline and profession.

has theoretical knowledge and practical skills of all important aspects of cyber security.

has knowledge of the mathematical and theoretical foundations of informatics, algorithmization, data structures, formal computer languages, operating and database systems, user interfaces.

knows and understands the principles, methods and selected technologies in the field of informatics, software engineering, information systems, computer systems and networks.

understands the development of software and technical means as a systematic process of product development with defined qualities.

can be applied in practice in the field of design, implementation, testing and maintenance of software and computer systems and networks.

is a valid member of the team that deals with the design, implementation, testing and maintenance of the software product, i.e. finds employment as an analyst, programmer, tester.

can search for relevant information, analyze information sources and critically evaluate their quality.

is ready to continue studying at the second level of university studies in the fields of information sciences and information and communication technologies.

a completed application for university studies of the first level

a certified copy of the completed secondary education with a certified translation into the Slovak language

the decision on recognition of completed education (validation) issued by the Regional Office Košice, Department of Education, Zádielska 1, 040 33 Košice

a certified copy of the transcript of records covering all the years of secondary education with a certified translation into Slovak. If the length of secondary education studies exceeds four years then a certified copy of transcript of records covering the last four years of study at secondary school is required

Curriculum Vitae in Slovak (or English, according to the language in which the applicant will study) signed by the applicant

a copy of passport

a proof of payment of the handling fee for the admission procedure (can be submitted to the Study department no later than the date of enrolment)
