The department of Political Science and International Relations follows an instruction method aiming at the analysis of local and international political processes within the anthropological, sociological and economic frameworks.

The International Relations programme from Baskent University also uses the curricula of the other departments in the faculty and aims at an education process that will prepare students for the work environment and present new opportunities for career plans.

Admissions to the programmes are made in accordance with the rules and regulations set down by The Higher Education Council of Turkey in compliance with the laws and statutes. Students apply to Başkent University on the dates announced in order to complete their enrolment to the programmes. Unless a written excuse is presented, enrolment procedures have to be carried out by the students themselves individually. The process is administered by the Student Registrar’s Office.

The placement of students in the Programme is held through the National Student Election and Placement System which is operated by the Measurement, Selection, and Placement Centre.
