BA Acting for Stage and Screen (Hons) is a full-time course at the Edinburgh Napier University studied over two years, and is designed to provide a credible vocational training for applicants who have completed two years of Higher Education. 

Overview

Our aim is to create an exciting pathway for the many people who have completed HND, Foundation Degrees, Associate Degrees or two years at the Higher Education level in any subject area, and want a training course that is of equal value to more traditional conservatoire courses. 

Our close ties with Scotland’s only Screen Academy (housed at Edinburgh Napier University), and Edinburgh Napier’s expertise in actor training, close links with the industry and, our proximity to, and involvement in, the Edinburgh Fringe Festival give this course a context that cannot be matched elsewhere in the UK

    BTEC (QCF) National Diploma Level 3 plus A Level

    • Minimum grades DM (Distinction, Merit).

    International Baccalaureate Diploma

    • Award of Diploma with 28 points overall with three HL subjects at grades 6, 5, 4.
    • Grade 4 in SL Maths and English.

    European Baccalaureate

    • Pass at 70% or above with grade 7 in three subjects.
    • Grade 6 in Maths and English.

    Scottish HNC

    • Other HNC subjects may be considered for year 1 entry where a B in the graded unit is achieved.
