Overview
- Within this practical and industry-orientated major you will explore different aspects of water science and hydrological modelling. The Bachelor of Environmental Science (Water Science) is offered by University of Southern Queensland.
- UniSQ is at the forefront of water modelling as part of water science and engineering, working closely with the Queensland Government, consulting firms, Natural Resource Management groups and the Queensland Water Modelling Network (QWMN).
- Explore and expand your knowledge with field studies of water resources and freshwater ecosystems, survey and monitoring techniques, data analysis, and site visits to water resource and renewable energy facilities.
- Study alongside our expert lecturers, researching relevant and innovative topics such as how the changing climate affects water resources.

We assume that your knowledge is equivalent to a grade C or higher in Units 3 and 4 at high school level (typically studied in Year 12). Find out more about assumed knowledge.
- Subject pre-requisite: General Mathematics (Units 3 & 4, C) or equivalent.
- Recommended prior study: Mathematical Methods and one of Biology, Chemistry or Physics or equivalent. If students do not have the recommended Mathematical Methods Level for entry then they will be required to undertake MAT1000 Mathematics Fundamentals as an elective.
