The undergraduate program in Mechanical Engineering from American University of Beirut seeks to empower students to pursue successful careers and to create a learning environment in which they can develop their creative and critical thinking skills, grow into lifelong learners in light of ever-increasing challenges of modern technology, and commit to the ethical and professional responsibilities required in their calling at the global level while focusing on the needs of Lebanon and the region.

- Students are normally admitted as sophomores to the BBA program either through direct admission, through transfer from other Faculties at AUB or through transfer from other universities.
- Students may also be admitted as junior transfers from other Faculties at AUB or from outside AUB.
