Overview

The basic idea is to offer more fruitful education experience for outstanding CityUHK undergraduates with graduate-level courses during their undergraduate study.

The students’ efforts and outstanding performance will be recognized by obtaining the additional MSc degree in Biomedical Engineering at City University of Hong Kong. It is hoped that the proposed two-degree programme can motivate the more ambitious and outstanding students to obtain better learning outcomes.

Key Features

Normally, a Bachelor’s degree at CityUHK requires students to complete 120 credit units in 4 years, and a Master’s degree requires full-time students to complete 30 credit units in 1 year. Students in an “Undergraduate plus Master's Degree Programme” will receive a conditional offer for a Master's degree programme when they join CityUHK as undergraduate students.

They can benefit from higher-level courses, including those with research elements and normally taught at the postgraduate level, during their undergraduate study.

They will be awarded the Bachelor of Engineering in Biomedical Engineering (BEngBME) and Master of Science in Biomedical Engineering (MSBME) degrees upon completion of the programme.
