About Environmental Engineering at Zewail City of Science and Technology
Environmental engineers generate engineering solutions to problems related to the environment such as the pollution of water, air, and soil, as well as waste management and valorization. Environmental engineers identify environmental problems and develop designs for systems that serve societal needs while preserving the environment.
The students study the design and development of air pollution control systems, water, and wastewater treatment facilities, water desalination systems, waste management solutions, and chemical and biochemical reactors.
