Generally, Information Technology helps to create, control, store, communicate and circulate information. The main focus of B.Tech in Information Technology from Veltech University is on computers and technology. It differs from Computer Science engineering in the aspect that in this the student is expected to learn management and information theory. It includes a detailed study of programming and of the software computer.

General requirements

Mathematics and Physics at A level (or equivalent) are mandatory.
Candidates should have opted for English as a medium of Instruction.
The third subject can be Chemistry/ Computer Science/ Electronics/ Biotechnology/ Biology for pursuing B. Tech.
Candidates should have opted for English as a medium of Instruction.
For Biomedical / Biotechnology, the eligible combination is MPC (Mathematics Physics Chemistry).
Minimum average of 50% in standard 12 or equivalent (Grade ‘C’)
For candidates from Nepal, minimum of 50% aggregate in the above subjects for Class 11 and Class 12 put-together.
Candidate should produce grade card/ equivalent mark sheets attained from the school.
Proof of foreign nationality should also be produced. Eg. Passport/ National ID
