Overview

Currently, the department has developed a long term partnership with more than 20 childcare institutions for assisting students to achieve hands-on experiences and become professional child care givers and educators.

Careers

The Child Care and Education program from Chang Gung University of Science and Technology prepares students for a variety of professional roles focused on serving the needs of children. Potential roles include the following:

Teaching young children

Nursing infants and toddlers

Administration of children’s programs

Parent educator

Work in public and private agencies focused on children and families

Other roles requiring similar knowledge and skills

Programme Structure

Curriculum:

Students gain the knowledge of childcare based on their interests and their own career plans.

A series of practical trainings including practicum in the ECE program and internship in the field of professional interests to help students obtain hands-on experiences.

In addition, students will integrate their learning and write their theses when taking Independent Study before graduation.
