Overview

Sport Leadership and Management from The University of the West Indies aims to build the competence of participants in the areas of sport administration as well as develop the skill sets necessary to allow them to lead the development of sport within the framework of their respective environments.

Students at Sport Leadership and Management from The University of the West Indies will:

• Demonstrate pragmatic knowledge in the areas of general leadership and management, sport leadership and management and parks and recreation management..

• Demonstrate self-directedness in pursuing personal and professional growth through lifelong learning;

• Develop a thorough understanding of the theoretical and work-based knowledge relevant to the application of leadership and management principles to sport organizational environments.

• Reflect on their own experiential knowledge to produce and apply new understanding and skills to problem-solving and decision-making in sport organizational environments.
