General requirements
- A minimum of five (5) passes in CSEC General Proficiency Grade I, II or Grade III (Grade III if done after 1998], or GCE O’ Levels at least Grade C, or BGCSE examinations including English and one of the following: a foreign language, mathematics, geography, or an approved science subject;
- For the B Ed Programme: a Teachers’ College Diploma or Teachers’ College Certificate, and
- be a trained teacher in the area of Special Education; that is, must have completed at least a two-year Teachers’ College Certificate in Special Education at a satisfactory level; or
- have successfully completed a two-year Teachers’ College Certificate and, in addition, have completed at least a one-year course in an area in Special Education at a satisfactory level; or
- possess any other qualification deemed satisfactory by the School of Education.
