Syllabus
The curriculum encompasses five key components that are integrated throughout the training:
- Theory and Application of Counselling and Psychotherapy
- Skills Practice in Counselling and Psychotherapy
- Experiential Group Process and Personal Process Integration
- Supervised Counselling and Psychotherapy Practice (Years 3 & 4)
- Integration of Counselling and Psychotherapy (Years 3 & 4)
Students are required to engage in 120 hours of client counselling during their final two years, under the supervision of an MTU-appointed supervisor. Additionally, they must complete at least 100 sessions of personal therapy before graduation, which is arranged independently and incurs separate costs.

- Have successfully completed the Higher Certificate in Arts in Counselling Skills.
