Overview

The Primary and Early Years Education with QTS (Hons) course at University of Huddersfield combines university learning with extensive school-based training, giving you the knowledge, confidence and classroom experience needed to teach children aged three to eleven.

At university, you will deepen your understanding of child development, effective pedagogy and the breadth of the National Curriculum, while strengthening subject knowledge across English, mathematics, science and the wider curriculum. You will also work within our purpose-designed Early Years and Primary mock classrooms — spaces created to help you practise teaching approaches before applying them on placement.
