Overview
In your first year you will take part in a team CDIO challenge with other Mechanical Engineering students. The second year CDIO challenge is an interdisciplinary team challenge where you will work with students from other engineering subjects. In the final year you will work on an individual project and present your work technically to other engineers as well as to a non-technical audience.
This course contains many specialist modules to provide you with the breadth knowledge and skills you need need to prepare for a successful career in engineering and science.

The demand for engineers is growing, and will continue to grow. An engineering degree will give you a huge choice of routes for employment, whether or not you choose to following a career in engineering after you graduate.
You will graduate with more than your engineering knowledge. You will graduate as a numerate and scientifically trained thinker with skills that are immediately transferable to a diverse range of sectors. Your independent project work, team projects, presentations, skills and lab experiences will help you develop skills that are useful in a range of job roles.
