During the foundation year, you'll gain an introduction to sport and exercise science and you'll gain skills to prepare you to study at degree level.

You'll begin by exploring functional anatomy and physiology and you'll go on to study concepts applied to issues in the diagnosis and treatment of patients with injury, and complications with disease.
You'll gain valuable work experience while undertaking a placement in industry where you'll be able to provide a real service to the community. This experience is designed to help you build your skills and confidence in preparation for employment in the field.
As you move into the final year, you'll undertake an individual research project, where you'll be able to focus in detail on a topic of specific interest to you under the guidance of a supervisor.
