Overview

The Concept Art for Games and Film (Hons) degree at Staffordshire University is designed to prepare you for a career in the exciting and fast evolving entertainment industry.

It is ideal for aspiring 2D and concept artists who want to combine artistic creativity with the technical skills needed to work in the games or film industries.

Throughout the course, you will learn from experienced academics with expertise in painting, life drawing, digital sculpting, 3D modelling, lighting and rendering, digital compositing, digital painting, cinematography, and post production.

Careers

The graduates have secured employment in roles such as concept artist, illustrator, graphic designer, and 2D/3D games artist, including character and environmental artist, and college/university lecturers. Companies include Atomhawk, Demodern, Nemesis Now, Flix Interactive, and Ubisoft, to name a few. Other graduates are working as freelance concept artists and mentors within the games and film industries.
