Syllabus

The B.Sc. in Information and Library Studies is structured into two parts:

• Part 1: 120 credits, equivalent to the first year of full-time study.
• Part 2: 240 credits, equivalent to the second and third years of full-time study.

Students are awarded credits for prior learning and experience, allowing them to complete the Diploma after 120 credits, including designated modules and attending two compulsory study schools. To earn the degree, students must complete 240 credits, including a 30-credit dissertation and attend three compulsory study schools. The programme's flexibility allows students to pace their studies over 2 to 5 years for the Diploma and 3 to 5 years for the Degree, requiring an average of 8 to 15 hours of study per week.
