If you are interested in a career as an airline/tour reservationist, flight attendant, cruise ship employee, tour guide, tour manager, event planner, travel counselor, hotel/ resort concierge, or any other facet of the tourism industry, this programme is for you! 

Key facts

• Students on the Tourism - Travel programme from St. Clair College have the opportunity to gain valuable experience and school credits while living, working, and attending classes at Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida.
• Optional yearly field trip abroad (past trips include Mexico, Caribbean, Cruises, Europe).

• Previous mid-semester work placement locations have included Western and Eastern Canada, Europe, Thailand, South Africa, Costa Rica, Australia, and India, among others.

• Student Work Experience Programme recruitment opportunities exist with Fairmont Hotels and Resorts located in Western Canada.

• Tourism Photography gives students the opportunity to create travel brochures using their own photographs.

• TICO exam administered as part of the programme.

After completing the two-year programme, graduate job opportunities exist with airlines, airports, attractions, car rental companies, convention and meeting centres, cruise lines, government tourism offices, hotels and resorts, online travel providers, rail lines, travel agencies, tour operators and visitor information centres, among others. 

Tourism and Travel students can work and earn credits through the Disney College Programme and the Fairmont Hotels and Resorts Student Work Experience Programme.
