- Throughout your learning adventure, you will cover a broad spectrum of expertise, from developing entrepreneur skills to fostering an understanding of digital marketing, financial management, sustainability, and the exciting sectors of adventure, sport, luxury, and eco-travel. You may want to participate in a study abroad course while sailing on a Caribbean cruise!
Throughout the programme, you will:
- explore local tourist destinations in the surrounding Waterloo, Niagara, and Toronto regions while assessing these attractions' attractiveness and marketing value.
- gain proficiency in industry-standard software platforms. At the same time, you explore emerging tools and technologies in travel, such as data analytics and blockchain applications, and niche tourism trends, such as space tourism, hipster cruises, and foodie airports.
- engage with guest speakers from across the industry who bring diverse perspectives and invaluable insights from the world of tourism.
- experience hands-on, project-based learning as you craft Travel and Tour plans, creating customized itineraries encompassing product development, marketing strategies, costing, and advertising techniques.
- be equipped with certifications, including SmartServe and Safe Food Handlers.
- Upon graduation, this programme also prepares you to write the Association of Canadian Travel Agencies and Travel Advisors (ACTA) and Travel Industry Council of Ontario (TICO) examinations. For eligible candidates, the programme offers an optional co-op opportunity.

- Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD), or equivalent, OR 19 years of age or older.
- Grade 12 compulsory English, C or U, or equivalent, OR Conestoga College Preparatory Communications (COMM1250), or equivalent
- Grade 11 Mathematics, C, M(U/C), or U, or equivalent, OR Conestoga College Preparatory Mathematics (MATH1420)
- English Proficiency
- English and/or mathematics testing may be required.
