This Motive Power Technician - Automotive Service diploma programme is offered at Conestoga College . Offering over 20,000 square feet of shop space, Conestoga will provide you with the skills to be job-ready as you enter this high-demand industry. This two-year programme provides Level 1 and 2 apprenticeship training equivalencies emphasizing hands-on learning.

In the programme's second year, you will delve deeper into related topics such as electric hybrids, failure analysis, and electrical diagnostics and repair. To broaden your knowledge and experience, we will introduce you to alternative careers within the automotive industry, such as business development, customer service, and shop and parts management.

As a successful graduate of this programme, you may be exempted from the Level 1 and 2 portions of the Automotive Service Technician apprenticeship in-school training.

Your future career:

Graduates may hold positions such as automotive service technician apprentice, service writer, shop manager, and business owner, and work in settings that include manufacturing, service and sales.
