You will become adept at circuit analysis and design, analog and digital electronics, communication systems, microprocessors, computer programming and networks, instrumentation, and troubleshooting.

- At Conestoga, you can access modern laboratories equipped with instrumentation for hands-on experimentation and prototyping, including oscilloscopes, function generators, spectrum analyzers, and soldering stations. You will also have access to computer labs and software for design, simulation, and development. You will use computing devices and embedded systems to control hardware. You will work individually and in teams.

- Upon completing this programme, you will receive a two-year diploma recognized by The Ontario Association of Certified Engineering Technicians and Technologists (OACETT) as meeting all the academic requirements for certification in the Certified Technician (C.Tech.) category. The Royal Canadian Navy has also recognized the Electronics Engineering Technician programme and now qualifies for Canadian Armed Forces skill recognition. Students who graduate from this programme will receive advanced standing as a Weapons Engineering Technician in the Royal Canadian Navy (subject to successful enrolment in the Canadian Armed Forces).

- Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD), or equivalent, or 19 years of age or older with mature student status (See Mature Student definition for details.)
- Grade 12 compulsory English, C or U, or equivalent, OR Conestoga College Preparatory Communications (COMM1250)
- Grade 12 Mathematics, C or U (MCT4C or MHF4U or MCV4U or MDM4U), or equivalent, or Conestoga College Preparatory Mathematics for Technology & Apprenticeship (MATH1385)
- Applicants not meeting the math admission requirements may arrange for testing to assess mathematical ability.

- Applicants with MAP4C will only be considered after writing the College Math Admissions test. Minimum grade cutoffs apply. Applicants with MAP4C may be given an alternate offer to the one-year Technology Foundations program which serves as a preparatory pathway into this program.
