Archaeology

During your Archaeology and Spanish and Latin American Studies course of studies offered by University of Malta , they will provide you with the academic knowledge required to understand how archaeology is a necessary and important area through which modern society can learn about primitive or ancient societies and cultures on a global scale. They offer a Mediterranean archaeological perspective where you will have the opportunity to put to practice the concepts and theories learned into the field work unit offered during summer recess. 

They will also encourage you to undergo the Erasmus+ mobility programme, as they believe that a diversified and multi-cultural experience through international learning will provide you with a more refined learning outcome.

Applicants wishing to join the part-time mode must submit their application as full-time, and then include a note in the comments box of the application form, denoting their preference to be considered for the part-time option. Such requests will be considered by the Board of the Faculty.

Spanish and Latin American Studies

The undergraduate course in Spanish and Latin American Studies, they will provide you with an academic lens of the history, literature and development of the respective languages and countries. 

By learning about the culture, key figures and historical periods and progress as recalled through their literature, you will acquire an intricate and deeper understanding and appreciation of the language, its people and the country's current stance and contribution in a national and international manner. They will also refine your linguistic abilities and thus become more proficient in the language use. 

They will also encourage you to participate in the Erasmus+ mobility programme for a multicultural and diverse academic journey.

Archaeology

As a graduate of this course, you will have career opportunities both locally and abroad, in which your valuable knowledge on the subject will be demonstrated. You will be able to pursue a career as an archaeologist, conservator, heritage manager, historic buildings inspector or conservation officer, museum/gallery curator, tourism officer, records manager, archivist, cartographer and as a social research. 

If you are interested in furthering your studies, or are considering an academic career in archaeology, then they encourage you to enrol in a postgraduate course offered at the University, where you will be able to hone your knowledge and gain a holistic understanding of the subject.

Spanish and Latin American Studies

As a graduate in this course you will be able to seek career opportunities, both locally and internationally, as an archivist, foreign correspondent, translator and teacher.
