Archaeology

During your Archaeology and Theatre Studies course of studies offered by University of Malta , they will provide you with the academic knowledge required to understand how archaeology is a necessary and important area through which modern society can learn about primitive or ancient societies and cultures on a global scale. They offer a Mediterranean archaeological perspective where you will have the opportunity to put to practice the concepts and theories learned into the field work unit offered during summer recess. 

They will also encourage you to undergo the Erasmus+ mobility programme, as they believe that a diversified and multi-cultural experience through international learning will provide you with a more refined learning outcome.

Applicants wishing to join the part-time mode must submit their application as full-time, and then include a note in the comments box of the application form, denoting their preference to be considered for the part-time option. Such requests will be considered by the Board of the Faculty.

Theatre Studies

In the undergraduate programme of study in Theatre Studies, they will give you an academic perspective of the theoretical, practical and historical application of the theatre, and its versatile application in a broad range of performative manners.

During the course they will instil you with a deep sense of awareness and appreciation of the interdisciplinary area and its contribution to society. They will also encourage you to participate in the Erasmus+ mobility programme for a multicultural and diverse academic journey.

Careers

Archaeology

As a graduate of this course, you will have career opportunities both locally and abroad, in which your valuable knowledge on the subject will be demonstrated. You will be able to pursue a career as an archaeologist, conservator, heritage manager, historic buildings inspector or conservation officer, museum/gallery curator, tourism officer, records manager, archivist, cartographer and as a social research. 

If you are interested in furthering your studies, or are considering an academic career in archaeology, then they encourage you to enrol in a postgraduate course offered at the University, where you will be able to hone your knowledge and gain a holistic understanding of the subject.

Theatre Studies

As a graduate in this programme of study you will have career opportunities, both locally and internationally, as an acting couch, actor, activist, casting director, critic, journalist, reporter, publicist, playwright, drama teacher, costume designer, theatre manager, script writer and community worker.
